Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development.

The goal address the need for a reduction in violence, abuse, exploitation, crime and human trafficking everywhere. Responsible, efficient and transparent institutions that make decisions in an inclusive and representative manner must be ensured. Corruption and bribery must be stopped, and everyone must have access to fair and judicial treatment.

For Naalakkersuisut, the goal of a just and peaceful society with transparent and strong institutions is important. The efforts to create a safe and fair society are many, and in great focus these years. Violence, for example, is a significant challenge in this country, and this applies especially to physical and sexual assaults and abuse. Therefore, work is being done nationally, municipally and locally to prevent and combat violent incidents.

Criminal matters and corruption are part of the Naalakkersuisut's focus areas. Violation of the framework of the law can be directly harmful to a society, and the sense of justice must be maintained so that all citizens and groups can feel safe and treated equally in relation to the law.

Compassion and a strong moral compass is essential to every democratic society. Yet, persecution, injustice and abuse still runs rampant and is tearing at the very fabric of civilization. We must ensure that we have strong institutions, global standards of justice, and a commitment to peace everywhere.
