TWO YOUNG GREENLANDERS PARTICIPATED IN NORDIC YOUTH MEETING

In October, 50 young people from the Nordic countries participated in Youth Training in Copenhagen, where they developed projects across the countries. Among the participants were Greenlanders Karen Olsen-Lyberth from Sorlak and Nina Titussen from Sukorseq.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Education, the Danish Youth Council (DUF) is behind the project “Nordic Youth in Sustainable Communities” (NUBF). The purpose of the project is to build more sustainable communities between youngsters in the Nordic countries. Youth Training is a physical space where young people from the Nordics meet, interact, make friends, and create ideas for activities and projects.

Common to all ideas is that the activities must be based on voluntary work and must incorporate one or more of the 17 Sustainable development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, the youngsters must be responsible for the development and implementation of their activities and/or projects.
