Cooperation with Statistics Denmark on the development of indicators

Statistics Denmark will assist Greenland with advice and guidance on the development of statistics and SDG indicators.

As a support to Greenland's work with statistics and the development of SDG 2030 indicators, the Danish government in 2019-2023 has allocated a total of DKK 4 million for Statistics Denmark to provide assistance to the work with statistical indicators in Greenland. It has been tentatively agreed that a part of the funds will be used to establish a website for the work on the SDG 2030 agenda and thereby an infrastructure for displaying statistics and development of SDG 2030 indicators – right here at www.anguniakkavut.gl.

The collaboration between Statistics Denmark, the Ministry of Finance and Statistics Greenland is also expected to focus on how Greenlandic society can be better able to collect global indicators and develop new national indicators, for example as part of national sector planning.
