The Nordic region - the world's most sustainable region?

The Nordic countries agree on an ambitious agreement and plan for Nordic co-operation on sustainable development in the new Vision 2030.

The Premier of Greenland, Kim Kielsen, signed on 20th of august 2019 in Reykajvik - together with the 8 other Nordic heads of state a new agreement on Nordic co-operation on sustainable development. The agreement set some ambitious goals for the future cooperation in the Nordic countries. Overall, the ambition is for the Nordic region to be the world's most integrated and sustainable region by 2030 at the latest.

The agreement from the summer of 2019 has now been followed by a new Nordic vision for co-operation in the Nordic Council of Ministers: Vision 2030. You can read more about the work with Vision 2030 on the Nordic Council of Ministers' website.
